TCNJ sent a five-member team to the AAC&U Summer Institute on General Education and Assessment at Loyola University in Chicago. The Institute is designed to provide support for teams from institutions engaged in redesigning their general education programs, and the Institute provides teams with the opportunity to work together, consult with the Institute faculty, and share with other institutional teams. The culminating activity of the Institute is the development of an action plan to continue work once the team returns to campus.

and English, former member of LLPC - Dr. Kit Murphy, Associate Provost, Curriculum and Liberal Learning
The goals of the team at the Institute were to
- Identify several innovative approaches to curricular structures that could work
at TCNJ. - Develop a plan for engaging the campus in discussions of these structures.
- Develop a plan for direct assessment of the new curriculum.
