The Center for Community Engaged Lear
ning and Research, with support from Academic Affairs and the Cultural and Intellectual Community Program Council, is excited to invite you to the second annual Day of Service on Saturday, October 22nd from 9:00am-2:00pm.
Last year, nearly 300 members of the TCNJ community contributed their time and efforts at 10 different locations throughout the region. This year, we hope to have even more TCNJ students, staff, and faculty contribute to making our communities more just and sustainable. Embodying TCNJ’s 2016-2017 cultural and intellectual theme of “Toward Just and Sustainable Communities,” the Day of Service brings to life TCNJ’s commitment to community engagement and service.
Service opportunities will include, among other activities, community clean ups, gardening, and food pantry organization. The day will begin on campus, and transportation will be provided to and from the service sites. Lunch will be provided.
Tentative Schedule
9:00am: Registration and Check-In
9:15am: Welcome and Introductions
9:40am: Travel to service sites
10:00am: Service
12:30-12:45pm: Return to campus
12:45pm: Lunch and reflection
1:30pm: Closing

The deadline to register is Monday, October 17th, at 5pm.
Family members are welcome, but must be 18 or older.
